There have been three different Most Valuable Player Awards in baseball since 1911. Originally named the Chambers Award, this was replaced with individual League awards until 1931when the Baseball Writers Association of America's MVP Award. Baseball's Most Valuable Players receive the Kenesaw Mountain Landis Trophy.
