The NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball has over 350 schools in 32 conferences. It is known for its single game elimination tournemaent in the spring to declare a National Champion. March Madness brings together the top 68 teams in the country to setermine the champion.

The NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship is a single-elimination tournament held each spring. "March Madness" starts with 68 college basketball teams, ending with the Final Four Weekend when a champion is finally declared. The tournament, organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), was created in 1939 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The National Invitation Tournament (NIT) is a men's college basketball tournament operated by the NCAA.. The post-season tournament, which started in 1938, is played in March and April. The final rounds of the tournament are played at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
