1941 NIT Basketball Tournament

The 1941 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) was held at Madison Square Garden in New Yprk City. The tournament expanded to eight (8) teams in a single game elimination format. The Clair Bee coaached Long Island Blackbirds claimed their second NIT title, defeating the Ohio Bobcatsin the championship game. Frank Baumholtzwas of Ohio was named the tournament MVP.
