2007 NIT Basketball Tournament

The 2007 NIT saw the tournament reduced to 32 teams from 40. The participating teams were selected and seeded by the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) selection committee. The first round, second round, and quarterfinal games were held at the home court of the higher seed. The semifinal and final round were played at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The West Virginia Mountaineers coached by John Beilein defeated the Clemson Tigers to claim their secong NIT title. Frank Young of West Virginia was named the tournament MVP.
