2013 NIT Basketball Tournament

The 2013 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2013 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The 76th annual tournament began March 19 on campus sites ended on April 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Baylor Bears coached by Scott Drew won their first NIT title, defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes in the championship game. Pierre Jackson of Baylor was named the tournament MVP.
