1994 NIT Basketball Tournament

The 1994 NIT Tournament remained at a 32 team field. The preliminary rounds consisting of four regions with eight teams each playing at a teams home site. The four finalists from the regions met at Madison Square Gardeens to determine a champion. The Villanova Wildcats coached by Steve Lappas defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores in the championship game. Doremus Bennerman of Siena won MVP after scoring 174 points in 5 NIT games.
