The 1997 CIAU Womens Basketball Tournament consisted of eight (8) teams competing in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The tournament was held March 14 to March 16, 1997. Manitoba defeated York with a 73-62 win in the final of the CIAU women?s basketball championship.
