Cyclone Taylor Cup Champions

Cyclone Taylor Cup Champions

Leagues play for the provincial championship designated by the Cyclone Taylor Cup. The VIJHL competes with the Pacific International Junior Hockey League (PIJHL) consisting of teams from the lower mainland, and the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) composed of teams from the B.C. Interior. Starting in 2004 the provincial playoff structure will be a four team playoff tournament. The host league will accept bids from its member teams, and elect a host team. The host team will receive a bye into the provincial finals, along with the three league champions. A single round-robin tournament is held in the host city during the first weekend in April (6 games in total) with the top two teams from the round-robin advancing to the championship game on Sunday. The provincial champion goes on the Canadian Junior 'B' championships. (Keystone Cup)
