With the realignment of the league due to expansion and with the coaching of Scotty Bowman the Blues had a memorable run in their inaugural season. They defeated the Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota North Stars in their first two rounds of the playoffs, only to lose to the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup finals. The Blues have yet to win the Stanley Cup. |
