The National Hockey League (NHL) All Star Game Results
Since 1947 the NHL has had an All Star game to recognize some of the best players of the game. The following is a review of the outcome of these games. There was no All-Star contest during the calender year of 1966 because the game was moved from the start of season to mid-season. In 1979, the Challenge Cup series between the Soviet Union and Team NHL replaced the All-Star Game. In 1987, Rendez-Vous '87, two games between the Soviet Union and Team NHL replaced the All-Star Game. Rendez-Vous '87 scores: game one, NHL All-Stars 4, Soviet Union 3; game two; Soviet Union 5, NHL All-Stars 3. There was no All-Star Game in 1995 due to a labor disruption.
