Stanley Cup 1918-19 Season

Stanley Cup 1918-19 Season

The Montreal Canadians faced Seattle Metropolitans for the Stanley Cup. Each team had won two and tied one when the influenza epidemic struck. The Canadians were forced to forfeit. The Stanley Cup was going to be awarded to Seattle but they refused it. This was the only year in the history of the NHL until the 2005 lockout, that there was no Stanley Cup winner.
