Stanley Cup 1920-21 Season

At the end of the 1920-21 season the champions of the NHL (National Hockey League) and the PCHA (Pacific Coast Hockey Association) met to determine the Stanley Cup winner. The Ottawa Senators had won the NHL championship by defeating the Toronto St Pats, 2 games to 0 in the three game finals. The Vancouver Millionaires played Seattle for the PCHA title. Vancouver out scored Seattle 13-2 winning the series.

The games were played in Vancouver before large crowds, with Vancouver Millionaires defeating the Ottawa Senators 2-1 in game one of the series. The Ottawa Senators won the next two games, Vancouver won in game four evening the series. In game five Ottawa edged Vancouver 2-1 to win the Stanley Cup for a second consecutive season, becoming the first NHL team to win back-to-back Stanley Cups.

Stanley Cup Format 1920-21 Season

The National Hockey League (NHL) agreed that it's champion would play the champion of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association for the Stanley Cup.

The format for the Stanley Cup was a best of 5 games, played in 1920 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

In the NHL playoffs between Toronto and Ottawa, Ottawa won 5-0 in the first game and 2-0 the second sweeping the best of three series. The Vancouver Millionaires played Seattle for the PCHA title. Vancouver out scored Seattle 13-2 winning the series. Vancouver and Ottawa met for the Stanley Cup with Ottawa winning the series 3 games to 2.
