Jack Riley did it all in professional hockey as a player, coach, general manager and scout beginning in 1938. One of the most respected names in the game, he served as the President of the American Hockey League (1964-67) and scouted for the Pittsburgh Penguins until accepting the job as Commissioner of the Southern Hockey League in 1975. The East Coast Hockey League proudly commemorated his distinguished career for eight seasons by naming its most coveted trophy in his honor. The Riley Cup was retired following the 1995-96 season. |
