South Boston Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

The NASCAR Cup Series is a stock car racing series owned and operated by NASCAR (the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing). NASCAR’s premier series had been known as the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series since Jan. 1, 2017, rebranded in 2020. It holds races over the season at tracks located in the United States both road courses and ovals. Although the roots of the series was in the use of "stock" manufacturers vehicles, todays cars are custom built automobiles powered by custom built V8 engines.

South Boston Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

South Boston Speedway is a short track located just outside South Boston, Virginia. NASCAR's three national series have raced at the track, though the Cup Series has not done so since 1971, while the Busch Series last raced there in 2000. After the Busch Series left the schedule, the Craftsman Truck Series competed at SoBo for a few years between 2001 and 2003. The track is a 0.40 mile paved oval with 10 degree banking on the straights and 12 degree banking in the turns, The NASCAR Cup Series raced on the 0.375-mile paved oval. (1962?1971)
