Carrell Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

The NASCAR Cup Series is a stock car racing series owned and operated by NASCAR (the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing). NASCAR’s premier series had been known as the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series since Jan. 1, 2017, rebranded in 2020. It holds races over the season at tracks located in the United States both road courses and ovals. Although the roots of the series was in the use of "stock" manufacturers vehicles, todays cars are custom built automobiles powered by custom built V8 engines.

Carrell Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

Carrell Speedway opened in 1940 as a 0.50 mile dirt oval speedway running Midgets and AAA Sprints. Sadley World War two put an end to all forms of motor racing around the world, Carrell closed in 1942. Carrell did reopen after the war ended, but unlike the original opening the content of the program had changed to of roadstar and Stock Car racing. After the 1948 season the track was paved and a one mile oval track was added. During the tracks life Nascar sanctioned two only event's at the venue. The speedway did end up closing in 1954.
