Fort Miami Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

The NASCAR Cup Series is a stock car racing series owned and operated by NASCAR (the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing). NASCAR’s premier series had been known as the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series since Jan. 1, 2017, rebranded in 2020. It holds races over the season at tracks located in the United States both road courses and ovals. Although the roots of the series was in the use of "stock" manufacturers vehicles, todays cars are custom built automobiles powered by custom built V8 engines.

Fort Miami Speedway - Cup Series Race Winners

Originally built as a horse track, motor racing did not commence until 1902. By 1918 Motor racing had returned and on a regular basis, In 1936 a quarter mile track was added and shared between Dog racing and Speedway. In 1941 a further 0.50 mile track was added with various forms of racing held on all the tracks up until the outbreak of World War II. After World War II and the lifting of the motorsports ban, Stock Car racing would become very popular on the 0.50 mile oval and open wheel cars on the two smaller tracks. In 1951 and 1952 NASCAR held two events with Tim Flock winning both, The speedways were all closed by 1957 to make way for a sports precint.
